Director of Upstream Bioprocess
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic lead in upstream process development located in Mount Prospect, IL. The successful candidate will be supervising a team that develops and implements mammalian cell culture processes for the production of biological therapeutic proteins. You and your team will be responsible for the scale-up, process development, and GMP production of monoclonal and multi-specific antibody drug candidates. The candidate will lead multiple projects and is expected to provide significant scientific and technical contributions within the organization, and will work closely with other departments to develop strong working relationships.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Scientist in Downstream Process of Biologics Development located in Mount Prospect, IL. The successful candidate will be working on purification processes to produce recombinant proteins for therapeutics application. The candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of downstream processing methodologies and analytical procedures that are amendable to cGMP manufacturing. You will be also supporting other groups including Cell Line Development and Upstream Process Development. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of industry experience with a Ph.D. degree, or 5 years of industry experience with an MS degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
Senior Scientist of Bioanalysis
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Scientist for analytical solutions of difficult scope and complexity from early discovery, scale-up, and process development to GMP quality control for a wide range of biologic R&D products. You will be responsible for the development of state-of-the-art analytical techniques for the characterization of monoclonal and multi-specific antibody drug candidates. You will be also supporting other groups particularly in Downstream Process Development. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of industry experience with a Ph.D. degree, or 5 years of industry experience with an MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or related disciplines.
QA Director
Sparx is currently looking to fill the role of QA director. The candidate selected for this QA role will work in the north suburb of Chicago, overseeing the Quality Assurance activities at Sparx’s Mount Prospect biologics manufacturing facility.
RA Director
SparX is currently looking to fill the role of Director, Regulatory Affairs. The candidate selected for this role will work in the north suburb of Chicago, overseeing the Regulatory Affairs activities at SparX’s Mount Prospect biologics manufacturing facility.
QC scientist
SparX is seeking an experienced and highly motivated QC specialist (II/III) for QC testing of biologics. The selected candidate will be part of the Quality team to support process development, analytical assay and cGMP activities for antibody drug development and production needs.
Associate Scientist
SparX is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Associate Scientist in protein expression, purification and characterization. The role will involve cell culture, plasmid preparation, protein expression and purification using a variety of cell culture systems, protein characterization, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of laboratory experience with a B.A./B.S. degree, or 0-2 years of experience with MS degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline. Research experience involving protein expression and purification is a must, preferable with antibody expression and purification.
Associate Scientist phage display
SparX is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Associate Scientist in antibody engineering through high-throughput screening. Experience in phage display is strongly recommended. The role will involve basic molecular cloning, antibody library construction and screening. Knowledge in antibody humanization and affinity maturation is a plus. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of laboratory experience with a B.A./B.S. degree, or 0-2 years of experience with MS degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline.
Research Associate, in vitro Pharmacology
SparX is looking for a highly motivated, interactive and creative Research Scientist with a strong cell biology background to join the pharmacology team. The primary responsibilities of the Research Associate will be to develop and perform in vitro cellular and/or biochemical assays for antibody drug candidates screening, biological function evaluation in immuno-oncology and oncology drug discovery program.
